Configuring event logging

If a SharePoint library is configured to present an ImandrA library, web service events can be logged. Logging BlueCielo web service events requires some knowledge about the Logging Application Block of the Microsoft Enterprise Library.

To configure logging of BlueCielo web service events on the web server:

  1. Ensure that the log folder exists and (impersonated) users have Full Control permissions.
  2. Configure the settings defined in the following files:

    .\MSEntLib\1.5.0.1\Configuration\loggingconfiguration.config

    .\MSEntLib\1.5.0.1\Configuration\loggingdistributorconfiguration.config
  3. Enable logging by setting the Enabled registry value of the following registry key to 1:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BlueCieloECM\IC-ImandrA\MSEntLib\Logging

Note    Activating logging for all categories (default) can result in excessive activity in the log file and adversely affect performance and disk space.

Note    The logging of BlueCielo Web Parts events is to the Unified Logging Service (ULS).
